David Webster

Executive Vice President, Cargill Specialized Portfolio and Chief Risk Officer

David Webster

David Webster leads Cargill’s specialized portfolio enterprise. The portfolio is made up of diverse growth businesses serving unique customers and markets, driving Cargill’s expansion into new and adjacent markets and positioning the company to continue expanding its impact. The businesses in the portfolio include Animal Nutrition & Health, BioIndustrial, and Road Safety, as well as Cargill joint ventures such as Wayne-Sanderson, Ardent Mills, and Teys. With a team of more than 20,000 employees across 45 countries, these global businesses strive to provide customers with world-class specialty solutions.

David also serves as Chief Risk Officer and Chair of the Cargill Risk Committee.

A member of Cargill’s Executive Team since 2019, David has led businesses across the food and animal nutrition spaces throughout his more than 30-year career at Cargill. He has been responsible for the transformation of some of Cargill’s largest and longest-operating businesses, including Animal Nutrition & Health, Global Edible Oil Solutions, and most recently, the Food and BioIndustrial enterprise.

David’s leadership has positioned teams for long-term strategic growth. He has earned a reputation for delivering better results for customers and identifying new opportunities for growth. He has also led several of Cargill’s largest acquisitions, including Provimi. 

David’s roles have taken him to locations around the world, including the United States, Poland, Taiwan and the Netherlands. He holds a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and business management from Saint John’s University, in Collegeville, Minnesota.
